I'm a video DP and Editor in Central Iowa. I do a lot of long format multicam work, specifically live concert DVDs, for clients like Tesla, Jefferson Airplane, Ronnie Montrose, The Nadas, Towncrier, and many more. I also edit episodic television and commercials for local, regional, and national broadcast.

Great product, makes working with offsite producers super simple. I pull up a project in iChat Theater, and they have this installed on their ipad, take their notes, then send them to me at the end of the screening. Genius.

You CAN use AJA RSS422 deck control out of an IoLA for frame accurate edit to tape via the MXO2 Mini.

Just added it to my rig, love it so far. Easy install and setup, tons of configuration options, great price for RT downconversions/upconversions/crossconversions.
Haven't had time to try yet, but I'm hoping it will allow me to use my old AJA IoLA's RS422 deck control and the MXO2 Mini's downconverted SD output to print frame accurate BetaSP masters from an HD timeline (big time savings).
Also, I was able to use it's calibration tools to fine tune a cheapo $200 Vizio from our guest room to be more color accurate than my old Sony 13" production monitor. The picture was still crappy, but it was perfectly color accurate crap. :)
It's a go-to tool when your FCP is acting strange. Save troubleshooting time by hitting Preference Manager first.
