LaCie sometimes gets a bad rap, but personally I have had great luck with the d2 Quadras. Switched to G-Drives for a RED shoot once and 2 out of the 4 drives purchased failed within the first 2 days of use. Having four types of connections available also alleviates the guess work out of delivering a hard drive to a client (assuming they have a Mac as well). In my opinion, used mainly as a storage device for backup or delivery the d2 Quadra is the way to go.
