Reviews
the single star is for looks alone....it looks great but mine died on only its third use!
After transferring some files to it (which it did do quickly), it ejected itself from my desktop, beeped a pathetic dying squeal then just flashed an ominous red led. According to G-Tech it must be a bad drive!
Really? They ain't kidding...if a hdd can't last more than three power-us before kicking the bucket, then i want nothing more to do with them.
I need reliability, and this is not.
Best portable drive I've ever used. Keep it on its own FW bus and it screams along.

The best external drives I ever used for editing. Silent. Fast. All the interfaces we can dream about (but not yet Thunderbolt…). I never had any trouble with, and I am using 5 different G-Drives for more than 3 years. LaCie hard drives suck with their powering which always die after 10 to 12 months, but G-drive rocks!
