What is Microblading Treatment?
Microblading is a highly specialized procedure that involves injecting pigment into the skin’s superficial layers in order to create eyebrow hairs. This is a great treatment for those who have lost their hair and want to restore natural-looking eyebrows.
What is the average microblading time?
Microblading, unlike eyebrow tattoos is considered semi-permanent. The results usually last for between one and three year. There are many factors that can affect the longevity and usefulness of your results. Examples include:
- Age
- Type of skin
- Skin health
- Follow the aftercare instructions
- Daily skincare routine
- Environmental factors
- Sun exposure
It is recommended to include “maintenance” microblading treatments in your skincare routine at least once a year. There is no set time for follow-up treatments. If you feel the need to darken your eyebrows, we recommend that you schedule a maintenance appointment.
How to extend the longevity of your results
Follow all instructions provided by us for aftercare to prolong the life expectancy of your results. Even in winter or days when it is cloudy, you should always apply sunscreen to your skin before you venture outside. Sunscreen with at least 55 SPF is recommended. Avoid tanning beds. Within six weeks of the initial treatment, come in for a touch up.
For the first six weeks after treatment, don’t wear makeup on your eyebrows. Some skincare products may cause premature fading of your microbladed eyebrows.
To maintain the shape of your eyebrows after treatment, waxes should be done every six to eight weeks. Keep your skin hydrated and eat healthy. Your skin’s health is dependent on how much water you drink each day. Your diet also plays a major role in your hair and skin quality.
What is the secret to getting faster results?
Your treatment results may fade prematurely due to a variety of factors. Let’s look at some factors that can prevent you from getting the best treatment results.
Controllable Factors
There are some things you can control that will affect the longevity of your treatment. Your nutritional status is the most important. Take nutritional supplements if you aren’t getting the RDA vitamins and minerals that your body needs. Your results will be better if you eat well. It is also vital to stay hydrated. Get at least 48 to 64 ounces water daily.
Follow all instructions for aftercare during the six- to eight week period following treatment. Your microbladed eyebrows should not be treated with makeup, lotion or other skin care products. Stop smoking and quitting dipping tobacco. The pigment will fade quicker if you smoke tobacco.
Uncontrollable Factors
The primary factor that can impact the longevity of your results is age. The pigment is retained by younger skin more than that of older skin. Oily skin retains pigments less well than “normal” or dry skin. Hormone imbalances such as estrogen dominance or hypothyroidism can cause skin pigmentation to be affected.
Your dermaplaned eyebrows’ longevity can also be affected by medical conditions such as hypertension or type 1 diabetes. Your treatment may be negatively affected by excessive sun damage, genetics, autoimmune diseases, and chronically high stress levels. These factors are not easily avoided or changed.
What is the likelihood of results lasting for longer without a follow-up?
Your dermaplaned eyebrows won’t last for more than two to six months without a touch-up. This depends on your skin’s health and oil production. We recommend that you have a touch up if you are able to afford it. This will help shape your new eyebrows.
What if I want the results to fade?
Sometimes you need to quickly change the color of your eyebrows. You don’t need to wait two years after the last treatment. Here are the steps to follow if you are certain that you want to have your eyebrows changed.
Do not follow aftercare instructions
Follow aftercare instructions. To remove the pigment from your skin, clean your eyebrows gently each morning and at night. This should be combined with sweating at least three times per day. Your skin will become lighter with sweat. Interval training with high intensity is the best way to sweat. However, intense aerobic exercise can also be effective.
Get a facial
Regular microdermabrasion and facials are a great way to promote skin cell turnover. A few months of consistent treatments will be sufficient to exfoliate your skin’s top layers, stimulate the growth of new cells, and remove any pigmentation.
Do not get a touch-up
The results of your first treatment session will not last more than nine months if you don’t have a follow-up. You can fade your eyebrows if you are unhappy with the shape or size of your eyebrows. Come in for a touch-up.
Relax in a Sauna
Another great way to quickly fade your eyebrows is by using a sauna. You can work up a sweat in just eight to ten minutes. After that, you can relax for between 20 and 45 minutes. At least three sauna sessions per week are recommended.
Exfoliating facial products are a good idea
Gentle cleansers can be sufficient to quickly fade the eyebrows if you have oily skin. Exfoliating facial products can be used if you have normal or dry skin. Retinol is a byproduct from vitamin A that thins the skin and decreases the rate at which cellular turnover by half.
What is Microblading?
We will evaluate the health of your skin during your first consultation. We will then help you choose the right cosmetic treatment to achieve your desired look. These are the factors that could affect whether this treatment is right to you.
Age
Our facial skin gets looser as we age. You will notice a decrease in the quality of your eyebrows by your 60s if you have perfectly placed tattoos. This microblading treatment can be repositioned as gravity takes its toll.
Hair Color
People often change the color of their hair every two years. You can easily change the color of the eyebrows to match your hair. Tattooed eyebrows will not let you change your original color choice.
Creativity
If you aren’t sure what shape your eyebrows should be, this treatment might be the right one for you. You can choose any shape that you like with eyebrow tattooing. You can easily choose a more conservative look if you want to change to corporate work.
Personal Preferences
Microblading is not permanent and doesn’t need to be applied regularly. To achieve the perfect eyebrows, you only need to spend one to five hours each year.
You don’t have to worry about the results
Tattooed eyebrows can cause pigmentation to be deep in the skin. The results are permanent. Problem with permanent eyebrows is that the shape and color don’t always look natural. Laser tattoo removal is required to remove tattooed eyebrows.
It can cause skin burns and whiten existing eyebrow hairs. This will also remove all pigment from your “permanent” tattoo. You can easily correct or change microbladed eyebrows without causing any pain or damage to the skin.
Time
Most people take 10 minutes per day to draw symmetrical eyebrows. If you don’t go swimming or get wet, that’s 61 hours per year. After your eyebrows have been shaped, your touch-up is complete. You will need to invest approximately an hour in your eyebrows every two years for microblading.
What is the average length of a treatment session?
The first microblading procedure will take between two and three hours. This includes shaping the eyebrows and applying the pigment. You should return for a touch up four to six weeks later. It will take between one and two hours.
The session will take approximately one hour. The shape of your microbladed eyebrows will be established as long as you continue to wax every six to eight week. To maintain the correct color, you only need to darken the hair strokes.
Alternatives to this Treatment
There are other options than tattooing your eyebrows. They are not practical and can quickly add up. These are some of the most sought-after:
Brow Gel
Brow gel is a popular product that many women have heard about. Brow gel is water resistant and can be applied in a matter of minutes. It must be used every morning. Although it takes only three minutes to apply the eyebrow gel, that’s 36.5 hours more than if you had microbladed eyebrows. You don’t even have to take the time to remove the brow gel each night.
Brow Powder
Brow powder can help you achieve a natural, soft brow. You can even get it in convenient travel-sized boxes and different colors. This is however the most permanent. Brow powder is not water-resistant so you can’t exercise or get wet.
Brow Tint
Brow tinting is the process of “painting” eyebrow tint. Although it lasts longer than brow powder, it is very time-consuming. You must first determine the size and shape of your brows. You must wait for two hours for the pigments to set on your skin before you can peel it off. Brow tint is only good for three to seven days so you need to reapply it regularly.
Brow Growth Serums
Brow growth serums work only if there is already hair in your hair. This treatment is only effective if there are sufficient brow hairs. This treatment might work for you if you have thin eyebrows. Bimatoprost, the only active ingredient that has been scientifically shown to increase eyebrow growth, is unfortunately not available. Bimatoprost is only available through a doctor. Any over-the-counter eyebrow serum will not work.
This is also a time-intensive procedure. To see results, it takes between eight and 12 weeks to apply the serum properly daily. After you start to see results, it is important that you continue applying the serum three times per day. You will see a decrease in eyebrow growth if you don’t apply the serum every three days.
