Based on a Mac Pro 3.2GHz Quad core Xeon, I suppose it's getting a bit old now, but it still works great. We shoot and edit in HDV (Pro Res 442 (HQ)). There's a TB of built in storage, and a 2TB RAID behind the Panny monitor. With 6 GB of RAM, Motion runs real-time. A Yamaha amp. & B&W speakers kick ass if needed and there's a Blu-ray recorder there too for back-up. Next step is a Black Magic Deck-Link card to plug in the Vision research Phantom HD Gold that we use for library filming.
