My Day Gig Rig

My edit system at Iowa State is used to cut footage from my Panasonic HMC-150, going primarily to the web, also to the occasional DVD or PowerPoint.

It's 2x2.8 Quad Core Mac Pro with 4GB of RAM, a Tascam FW-1082 for mixing and monitoring audio, 2 Samsung 20" monitors, A pair of Behringer MS20 audio monitors and Final Cut Studio 2. I archive and backup the SD cards to the 4 USB drives in the corner, and Log & Transfer to ProRes on an internal RAID in the MacPro. And Jeff Tweedy & Co. keep me company on the monitor shelf.

My MacBook Pro comes and goes with me everywhere, but doesn't get used for editing. Sometimes I'll make safety copies of the SD cards on it in the field.

I'll post my home rig as soon as my new mixer/control surface comes in.

Hey man nice rig. This is Matt Baxter that was the A/V for FOM '09 and '10. Funny that I found you on here. I'm assuming this is Brian. It would be weird if it's not.

Oops, Bryan. I'm sure you get that a lot....
