Mike Quinn's Final Cut

My rig seems to be constantly changing due to project requirements and being creative with budget restrictions. You will notice the lack of a mouse as I use the Wacom pen and controllers for everything :)
9x12 Wacom Tablet, Contour Shuttle Pro controller, Sony monitor, Apple G5, Folio Notepad mixer, Frontier Alphatrak Mixer, Event PS5 audio monitors, 1650 x1050 Cinema Display, 1920 x 1200 Cinema HD Display, assorted decks, external hard drives, Sony headphones.

Do you find the wacom tablet to be more precise and easier to use than a mouse (especially when you have more screen real estate than the average consumer)? My mouse drives me nuts.
For me it's a lot easier and I never have the RSI problems I had with a mouse. Also I'm so used to the Wacom it is more accurate for me. However with the pen in my left hand (I'm left handed) and the Shuttle Pro in my right I can fly around my screen and timeline without thinking. So it works for editing, animating and of course programs like Photoshop and other graphics heavy programs.
Still works when you're just moving around in the finder and other every day programs?
Yes I'm just so used to it. I use it for all my regular desktop programs like email and browsing etc. too. When I first started using one in the 90s it took a week or two to get used to it but I've never looked back!
I may have to see if I can check that out somewhere. They used to have a Wacom tablet set up in the Apple store when I worked there (2005-ish) but I never really tried it out and I'm not sure they have it anymore.
