Don't laugh...this little 20" iMac (late 2006) cuts together full length 1080i tv shows. Small 4x3 monitor to the right serves as second monitor. Twin Sony bookshelf speakers are driven by Kenwood amp (not seen). The iMac hides a 2T backup drive while flanked by almost 4T of primary storage. The iMac itself is a 2.16GHz Core 2 Duo maxed at 3G of RAM. Alas, once Apple starts shipping the 27" i7's again, this rig may be regulated to being Suite B.

before you buy an i7 - check out walter biscardi's comments on Creative Cow. He has been testing one and found it lacking in its ability to handle high ethernet data rates. He finished by saying he was sending his back!
