I am deployed to Afghanistan. I have Final Cut Pro 7 with a second monitor for dual screen set up. I'm not allowed to have my rig on the military network, so I'm using a separate machine for research and image collection while accessing older files for a project had pre-saved on my personal computer when I had access to a faster connection. It only sounds complicated. Works like a charm if you're deployed with the restrictions we face.

Very cool. Do you shoot as well or is that a separate function from yours?
I do shoot as well. As Marine Combat Correspondents, we have to shoot and edit all of our own stories. I don't mind it because I like having the ability to affect the story from start to finish.
